Stood in the mist for long
In a dreamless sleep
Kept silent, downtrodden
For many ages past
We will not go down, without a fight
We will not yield to ill-fated future
To be the first that draws the sword
Is to be the first that draws the fire
Yet, the tides of war have already came
Masqueraded as lifelong oppression
The slow invisible hand of the killer
Corroding Awareness and Judgment
The valley flock to the mountains’ slopes withdrew
Surrounded only by unwrought stone
The sea lords to the dry desert driven
Οswan roams frenzied in a soundless pain
Mestyr hangs discouraged with a rusting blade
And all hearts bellow in a silent wailing
A resignation to oblivion
I will not go down without a fight
I will not yield to ill-fated future
To be the first that draws the sword
Is to take burden over life and death
O' spirits of our ancestors
Cast your eyes upon us
And your curses, should not
Our hearts be pure and just our cause
But if in honor stand we abreast,
Imbue us with Might and Courage!
Hail the Thaurachs of Borsu!
Our ideals lie on top of a violent history
Determine who we are
Dispose of what we were
Regulate our destination
For neither peace nor war
Can exist without another
And those who vow to eternal peace
Shall lose but all of it, in vein

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

No excuse, I should’ve already picked this up. When people can’t agree on what you’re playing but they know it’s metal, that means you’ve done it right. Metallurgical Fire
