The rails of sweat
and power sprawl... goodnight.
Serpent, born of men, the focused point
slithering tracks to prey abound.
Seal of sand keeper of the bounty
dreaming in six shooter clench.
Dreams of pale horses
whom design high hunt.
A game of chase and redemption resolve...
taste of lead fills our grail,
vultures careen above in anxious pursuit.
Fortunes delt with avarice recite.
Too many fathers leaving bread trails behind for sons and daughters echo
forks in the route in chance we convict.
Spy fiction folds in ready streets
antique people on guard they stalk and bare arms.
Fashioned in rust, mechanized are the limbs
Precious cargo our shadows nailed thrice.
Vertically aimed and steady pull
hard silence grips the scene.
Spy fiction folds in ready streets
antique people on guard they stalk and bare arms.
Vessel of the arsonist, counsel of discord.
To concrete drifts, I succumb.
I succumb.
To the concrete drifts, I succumb.
Spectres reveal and boast of prelation
a toast to the sunken ship
Vessel of the arsonist,
counsel of discord star.
Embellish hideous shell for the occasion calls.
Sulfur accost the lungs
for maiden swallow
framed silhouettes serenade the procession
To the concrete drifts, I succumb.

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

Brilliant album, exploring new spaces of the genre. Looking forward to their upcoming 2021 release - I own the Limited Edition, Gold pressing. MetalJazzDnB
A foreboding black-doom metal dirge, meditating on a dark world caked in ash, resulting from all the Earth’s nuclear arsenal detonating at once. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 14, 2018
