Perennial waves smash into my mind's harbors
Dark waters form seas of golden tears
Lost in waves between the cosmic shores
Icons and mythos of forgotten ages
Washed down by the tide of time
Washed down...
Death comes in perennial waves
Mirrors from within the self
Revel in mysteries
Reflecting the gulf between flesh and spirit
Descend into the blackened depths
Into the inner caves of self-illumination
Pulsating through the locus of the soul
Ceremonial offerings of rotting saviours
Pillars drenched in eerie glow
From the shrines and temples
Forged in flesh and blood
To the outermost regions of the void
The hearts of men shall howl
So gather me up from the watery pits
Let me find the strength to reach the shore
Let me see the sacred soil rise in the horizon
And bathe me in the light of blinding flamessssssssssss...
…the hearts of men shall howl in the ocean of all souls!
Death comes in perennial waves
Before I shall drown in this inner sea
In the ocean of all souls
Death comes in perennial waves
And to the outermost regions of the void
The hearts of men shall howl
Forevermore!

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

This is the most personally appealing piece of music I have run into in a long time - from the beautiful lyrics and art and the crushing, non pretentious gorgeous heavy music. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, crushing - are there are other words? Gorgeous, exquisite.... sock4never

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022

US Black / Death Metal. Another brain child of the extremely talented artist Naas Alcameth. This is seriously good destroys anything in its way! The music goes from BM blasts all the way to a near funeral doom with a ton of atmosphere & back again. The entire thing is haunting as hell from the first to the last note. I think it is time for a new album! It has been six years already... :) Highly recommended!!! bmurator
