Unseen hands shepherd the accursed lineage
Towards the evergorging darkness
To shed the wretched skin of man
And step into the body of light
Luminous drudges and blinded slaves fall below
All in the name of the king
Suspended over the pits of eternal torment
Flanked by numinous guards of faith
All paths marked by living statues howling
Ivory figures of godhead, grotesquely luring
Enthroned on foundations of ancient blood
Huge as mountains, the pillars of this barren earth
Scorched and burned to the core
The eyes that see, the ears that hear
The parodies of holy objects burn away
Letting the black light pass onto my coil
Undying, unliving
A mockery of his creation
Suspended over the pits of torment
Flanked by numinous guards of faith

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

This is the most personally appealing piece of music I have run into in a long time - from the beautiful lyrics and art and the crushing, non pretentious gorgeous heavy music. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, crushing - are there are other words? Gorgeous, exquisite.... sock4never

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022

US Black / Death Metal. Another brain child of the extremely talented artist Naas Alcameth. This is seriously good destroys anything in its way! The music goes from BM blasts all the way to a near funeral doom with a ton of atmosphere & back again. The entire thing is haunting as hell from the first to the last note. I think it is time for a new album! It has been six years already... :) Highly recommended!!! bmurator
