My mother said if I keep this up
I'll be dead by 33
The doctor said that if I don't stop
I'll be dead by 33
My girlfriend begged me to get some help
Or I'll be dead by 33
I always knew that I'd fuck up
And become a corpse on their TV
And if you knew what I was really like
You wouldn't try to stop me
And if you could, live through my life
You wouldn't wanna live past 33
Never thought I'd make it baby
Never thought I'd live this long
Always thought I'd lose you baby
After so much went so wrong
Never thought I'd make it baby
Never thought I'd live to tell
Cheated death for a thousand years
And now I find myself in Hell
And if you knew what I was really like
You wouldn't try to stop me
And if you could, live through my life
You wouldn't wanna live past 33
My mother said if I keep this up
I'll be dead by 33
The doctor said that if I don't stop
I'll be dead by 33
My girlfriend begged me to get some help
Well she died at 33
I always knew that I'd fuck up
And become a corpse on their TV
The soundtrack of melting glass. Lots of heroic improvisational 80's-toned soloes over sludgy layered background that wallows constantly. Slightly distorted overall coating gives this album very nice and unique personality. And I always love this type of basementish and unpolished vibe. 𝙅𝙤𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙡
The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire
