The soundtrack of melting glass. Lots of heroic improvisational 80's-toned soloes over sludgy layered background that wallows constantly. Slightly distorted overall coating gives this album very nice and unique personality. And I always love this type of basementish and unpolished vibe.

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel.
