An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

As I’ve come to expect from Ulthar, the riffs are twisting, blistering, and dizzying. There’s a good amount of variation in each cut, despite the consistently anxious atmosphere.

A labyrinthine exploration of the most otherworldly aspects of death metal and black metal's caustic intermixing. Filled with nuanced structures that veer into a multitude of directions with a focused sound, there is a noticeable intent to pull each genre further along into a new world. Presenting mazes of songs that unfurl and restrict in tandem before spiraling to another place, Ulthar stand at the forefront of what can be accomplished in extreme metal. Lorenzo

Can't believe I'm getting on this 2 years late. Such a well-crafted experience, it is exactly what I've been craving out of the doomgaze subgenre. Heavy, sprawling, dark and mysterious. Heroin is less addictive. Magnus Blackwood
