PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

I have to admit when I finally caved and got a Nordvis subscription and saw what appeared in my collection as a result, I thought "Sons of Crom? that sounds kinda stupid, did I make a mistake?" no, this is actually so great! really nostalgic reminding me of that fantasy power/prog metal with a hint of cheese that I loved as a teenager, it's so well done, catchy and good to listen to on the way to work and get some energy for the day. Black metal can be of such beauty without coming short in aggression. On Vittra the aggression roots mainly from the great vocals. Powerful and mesmerizing stuff on this outstanding debut. mourner

Eld is definitely the best and most aggressive album from this band. I like their other albums but this stands head and shoulders above the rest. Metallurgical Fire
